Registration Criteria:
This course is for those who are interested in updating their certificate of completion and / or are preparing to write the Canadian Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT) exam.
In order to take the M.D.R.A.O. Refresher Course, you must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Must hold a M.D.RAO certificate or a Canadian College certificate. A photocopy of your certificate is required.
2. Must work in a Reprocessing Department in a Health Care setting.(Application to be signed by the Manager).
The exam is written in front of an invigilator.
Course Information:
Registration can be done any time from July 1st 2015 to Feb 1st 2016. No Registrations will be taken after February 1st 2016. The start date begins when the course material is received by the invigilator. The exam date must be set with the Directors of Education when the material is received by the invigilator and cannot be more then 3 months.
- The exam date must be set for no later then 3 months after the course material is received by the student.
- The course must be completed in the three-month time frame on a self-study basis. There is a minimum of 40 hours of home study to prepare for the exam. No extensions will be permitted. .
- Price includes the 2015 printed third edition MDRAO Medical Device Reprocessing Textbook and Workbook. The price also includes the 2015-2016 membership fee.
- A mark of 70% must be achieved on the exam. The student will receive the MDRAO Medical Device Reprocessing Techniques certificate of completion if successful. If the exam is not completed successfully, the student will have to register for the classroom course as no rewrites are permitted. The certificate of completion is valid for 5 years
The fee for the course is $330.00+ 13% HST (42.90) = $372.90
