Distant Education – Out of Province

The MDRAO Distant Course is for those seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Course out of province. Only out of province students will be considered for distant education.

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent. (Proof may be required.)
  • The student must be employed in a health care setting.

Registration can be done any time from July 1st 2015 to Feb 1st 2016. No Registrations will be taken after February 1st 2016.

  • The exam date must be set for no later then 3 months after the material is received by the student.
  • The course must be completed in the three-month time frame on a self-study basis. There is a minimum of 40 hours of home study to prepare for the exam. No extensions will be permitted. Assistance is available from an online forum with the MDRAO Education Coordinators.
  • Price includes the 2015 printed third edition MDRAO Medical Device Reprocessing Textbook and Workbook.
  • A mark of 70% must be achieved on the exam. The student will receive the MDRAO Medical Device Reprocessing Techniques certificate of completion if successful. If the exam is not completed successfully the student will have to register for the course again. There are no rewrites. The certificate of completion is valid for 5 years
  • The MDRAO Distance Course is a CSA recognized prerequisite to write the CMDRT Exam.

The fee for the course is $450.00 + 13%?HST (58.50) = $508.50
